Proud of Herself

She worked really hard to get onto this stool.

I asked her if she wanted me to take her picture and she responded "Tee."

So we had a little photography session with the stool--

The Faces of Stellie and Her Pig Tails

Stellie can have pig tails now.  She was very excited to have her picture taken until she realized she had to stand 2 feet away from mommy (don't worry--she cheers up!).

Then we tried to take some together--
She started to feel better--especially when she found a marker!

Aren't the pig tails the cutest???

Thomas' First Addition Facts

Today T showed some interest in math facts so we dove right in.

I'm so glad we already had the counting beads!  They worked wonders!

He's growing up too fast. sniff

T's Turntable

He's making "mixing sounds" (and now so is Stella).

Next, I'll get some video if I can.  He's singing up a storm!

New Hair-Do

Stella brought me hair ties and requested we use them--

She also has a pony tail in the back.

Piggy Bank Crayons

Tonight we stop into the dollar store looking for hair ties and left with these.

He carried them all through the store, and put them on the conveyor belt himself.  He rode the whole way home holding all 4 of them.

Can anyone guess why Thomas wanted them?

Yup, Wiggles colors.....

So far he has described them as "awesome", "beautiful", and a "great idea."

And yes, he is sleeping with them right now.  They are under the covers.

Little Helper

This little lady helped me unload the dishes today!  She surprised me by knowing where the measure spoons went!

Now, she also wants to scoot down the stairs on her bum.

and to top it off--she sported a cream cheese mustache at lunch today.

Happy Saturday!

Stella Update--17 Months

Stella has always had a voice, but these days she is making sure we hear her!

When she saw me taking pictures of the zoo she started saying "Cheese, cheese, cheese."
Speaking of cheese--the reason her hair looks greasy is because she rubbed her piece of pizza cheese side down on her head after lunch.

Stella loves sunglasses--

She is saying some two word phrases. She also says up, milk, Melmo (elmo), Milo, Murphy and more.

  She loves Elmo.

She loves stairs--or rather she is obsessed with stairs.  Every morning she wants me to help her go DOWN the stairs.  She lives on the edge.

She now tries to sing in the microphone like her big brother and also knows the words and hand motions to some Wiggles songs.

Stella hates to say good-bye to family, friends, and the UPS guy--she is in tears upon departure and "bye-byes."  If you ask her if she wants to go "bye-bye" she runs to the garage foyer and of course wants to walk down the garage steps on her own.

She can read How Big is Baby Elmo? along with me at bedtime.

Stella is very good at puckering up and giving big smooches.  She still sucks her thumb and gets one "ba-ba", as she calls it before "night-night."

She is a delight to be around and we can't get enough of our baby girl!

The Zoo

Thomas re-created the zoo today in the dining room.

Mickey took a walk through to see all the animals--

Here he is visiting the zebras.

I'm guessing we will be back at the "Big Zoo" as soon as the weather cools off!

Thomas the Train

We spent a day in the mountains where we got to ride Thomas the Train.

After riding Thomas we rode the Tilt-a-Whirl and the Scrambler

Thomas also enjoyed driving cars--

And flying planes--

We all slept really well that night :)

Next Up--Children's Museum

Our Children's Museum built an amazing garden this year.

The Daddy and the kids went to check it out.  It's really cool!  I actually went today again with the kids.  Being that I garden--the best thing about it for me was getting to see almost full grown plants (then I know what they are supposed to look like!!!)

Beach 2010--The Aquarium

We had a great time at the aquarium!

Beach Gnats

We only made it down to the beach a few times.  Mother Nature was not on our side between the wind and a gnat explosion.

We did get some pretty cute pictures though--

Stella did not like the sand one bit.

T liked watching the crazy beach crabs (on the other hand--I did not!)

Cupcakes and Cowboys New Home

Welcome to our new home.  We hope you'll continue visiting!

We've been really busy for the past 6 weeks so get ready for a bunch of updates!

Starting with the beach!

T loved Miniature golf (or putt-putt as he called it)
